3 Years Old

Class: A (1 class) Three Years Old Age Requirement: Must be 3 years old by September 1, 2011 Meeting time: Monday and Wednesday 9:00 – 11:00 Tuition: $85 monthly Class description: The 3-year-old class is an introductory program. A sampling of art, physical, music, and literature activities are provided. It is recognized that the child’s skills are just developing and school is a very new concept. Children must be potty-trained before classes begin in September. The student / teacher ratio is 6:1.

Class: B (2+ classes) Three Years Old Meeting time: Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 – 11:00

4/4-5 Years Old

Class: C (2 classes) Four Years Old Age Requirement: Must be 4 years old by September 1, 2011 Meeting time: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00 – 11:15 Tuition: $100 monthly Class description: The young 4-year-old class aims to develop self esteem, provide social, physical, emotional, and intellectual growth, develop physically through motor skills, and encourage children to express themselves through creative arts, music, mathematics, social studies, play activities, science, health, and safety. Development of listening skills, following simple instructions, learning to share with the classmates, and developing some self discipline are important goal of this class. The student / teacher ratio is 8:1.


Class: D (2 classes) Four and Five Years Old Age Requirement: Must be 4 years old by March 1, 2011 Meeting time: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 12:00 – 2:25 Tuition: $115 monthly Class description: The daily program includes creative arts, music, mathematics, social studies, play activities, science, health, safety, language development, listening skills, dramatics, motor skills, and good manners. Its purpose is to provide for social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. More specifically the student will increase their cognitive skills as the alphabet and numbers 1 to 20 will be emphasized. Self expression within a group setting is also emphasized. The student / teacher ratio is 8:1.


Class: G (1 class) Four and Five Years Old Age Requirement: Must be 4 years old by March 1, 2011 Meeting time: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:00 – 11:30 Tuition: $110 monthly Class description: The daily program includes creative arts, music, mathematics, social studies, play activities, science, health, safety, language development, listening skills, dramatics, motor skills, and good manners. Its purpose is to provide for social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. Pre-K

Class: E (1 class) Pre-K Age Requirement: Must be 5 years old by September 1, 2011 Meeting time: 4 Day/Week Program 9:00 – 11:30 Tuition: $125 monthly
Class description: The Pre K program may vary from year to year depending on the readiness of the class. The general goals for the class are to improve the child’s reading and math readiness skills. Social studies, small and large motor skills, listening skills, and music skills are also main topics for this class. Improving the attention span, self responsibility, and an emphasis on writing skills are emphasized The student / teacher ration is 12:1.


Class: F (1 classes) Pre-K Age Requirement: Must be 5 years old by September 1, 2011 OR** must turn 5 by January 31, 2011 Meeting time: 4 Day/Week Program 12:30 – 3:00 Tuition: $125 monthly Class description: same as Class E


**Two Pre-K classes are offered during the day. Judy Berggren teaches AM Pre-K. The students must turn 5 years old by September 1, 2011. Leslie Timmis teaches PM Pre-K. Her students may turn 5 years old between September 1, 2011, and January 31, 2012. The academic curriculum remains the same among all classes, but the manner in which these classes are taught accommodate the particular ages targeted. For example, Mrs. Berggren’s class is a more independent based classroom. Mrs. Timmis’ class relies more on group discussion along with a “center” approach.
